One of the best features of this upgrade is the low power consumption of the LEDs. They use only 0.6 Watts in running light mode and 4 Watts with the brakes applied. Compare this to the 5 Watt/21 Watt 1157 incandescent bulb! This allows you to run additional electrical accessories. The LED upgrade also allows the owner to have selectable pulsing of the light during brake application of no strobe, 1, 2.5 or 4 seconds for increased visibility before the lamp stays on like a regular brake light.
